After entering "forgot password" user redirected "in a way that will never complete

Description

Users account is verified and has previously logged in. User clicks on "Forgot your password" link User receives email with new temporary password User attempts to log in with new credentials In Firefox user receives message:

Redirect Loop

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

I see this same issue... with both Firefox and Safari, attemting to clear cookies or restart the browser does not resolve it.

After getting the browser into this situation, I cannot access the front page even, until I do /tracs/instancename/logout
