Batch modification of tickets did not generate any timeline history

Description
Using batchmod r6215 on trac 0.11.4 I modified the milestone and comment fields for a couple of tickets, the changes happened but trac didn't generate any emails and no item appeared in the timeline.

From the comment posted in a recent trac-users mailing list thread, it looks like this is still an open issue.

It is still an issue, but is possibly next on the to-do list. The Trac team is currently discussing reworking some of the timeline interfaces so I want to see how that turns out first.

The plugin is deprecated since it has been integrated to the Trac core for 1.0. Upgrade to Trac 1.0 and uninstall this plugin to get the latest functionality. Enhancement requests can be directed to Trac.

I'm thinking of installing this plugin and I always review open tickets first. None of the tickets are very concerning, with the exception of this one. It is surprising to me that there would be an issue with the timeline. Do you know if the "no updates in timeline" issue still exists?
