importing email messages into blog

Reported by: saft@… Owned by: osimons

Description

Hello! I wonder if there's any possibility to import eMail as blog entries, maybe something into the direction of MailToTracPlugin ? Or, if not, what would you deem to be the best solution for adding automated content ?

regards, Thomas

At some stage there will be RPC support for the plugin, so that it can provide an API via XmlRpcPlugin. Still, that would just provide the interface to be used by some tool that knows how to receive and parse email messages. There is nothing in the FullBlogPlugin that will know anything about incoming email, so your request is largely outside the scope of the plugin.

Today the current solution would be either Python code working with the model objects to create blog posts. You'd need to make (and maintain) this yourself.

Perhaps if you ask on the 'trac-users' trac:MailingList instead? Your question really belongs there, and not as an open issue for the plugin.
