Description
Currently ticket pages for components doesn't provide a link back to component page. It would be very convenient to get this link (and link for version control page too) somewhere.
Maybe a popup box available on every component-related page would be a good solution?

Exactly. This backlink can be directly in ticket header in existing Component: TracHacks field.

Ok, thanks for the suggestion. I'll see what can be done. However, I think it will have to wait until we have switched to Trac 0.11 (which is work in progress, though, see thread on th-users).

BTW, as you aim at Trac 0.12 right now, there is a standard backlink on almost every value in the ticket header, including components. But this is going to a custom search, i.e. for all open tickets related to that component.
So to change it, this would still require a Genshi filter or a patched Trac source, to alter that default behavior.

I would like to vote for this enhancement. Actually, I was going to open a ticket for it just now. Good that I used the ticket search first.
Getting from the ticket page to the hack wiki page is really annoying without such a link! I would offer my help if needed.

This will be resolved by migration to Trac 1.0 too.
I was thinking the same. However, now it looks like we will need to implement a solution as part of the TracHacksPlugin.
I'm thinking of adding a contextual navigation entry that points back to the plugin's wiki page. It would look something like this:

I'm not sure I understand the idea... a ticket that has been filed for, say, TracPastePlugin should have some sort of backlink to http://trac-hacks.org/wiki/TracPastePlugin ?
