I've seen this issue reported a bunch of time on the mailing list, but can't remember the common solution at the moment. I agree that ticket should be closed.

    2 My version of SNV is the python utilzo 16.4 and 2.6. Install the package and python-svn python-subversion. My OS is Ubuntu 8.0.4 server.
