Installing plugin crashes website — at Initial Version

Description
I installed this plugin using easy_install on Trac 0.12 and I get the following error when I try to trac-admin upgrade:
Contacts needs an upgrade
- Upgrading db
TypeError: not all arguments converted during string formatting
I can no longer access my site.
