TagsPlugin: Not seeing nav button or input fields after installation — at Version 1

I have seen an issue for this on the mailing list but no one has posted a final solution.

After I clicked "edit a page", the tag field does not come up nor is there a Tag navigation button.

Then I verify the permission actions however no action for "TAG_..." exists.

  1. easy_install ​http://trac-hacks.org/svn/tagsplugin/tags/0.6
  2. configured trac.ini [components] tractags.* = enabled
  3. ran trac-admin <env> upgrade
  4. restarted web server
  5. If this doesn't work, check your anonymous and authenticated users for TAGS_* permisions.

It sounds like the evidence is pointing towards the TagsPlugin not being loaded to your Trac instance. Please turn on ​t:TracLogging and see if you get any errors when restarting Trac.
