Description

a GoogleMapPlugin? allowing display like http://www.burkina.at/Koudougou would be nice.

This would be a macro, e.g. GoogleMapMacro, not a plugin, so you could write 

  [[GoogleMapMacro("My Address")]]

into your wiki pages.

Check out the AddressPlugin, which is actually a macro.

I wrote GoogleStaticMapMacro today. It's not a full as-you-know-it Google Map, but it gets you half there.

I went through the Google Maps API today and then went to find out how to best insert all the Google javascript into the wiki pages.

Then after some coding and testing I published the first alpha version of the GoogleMapMacro. At the moment it is just a plane map without any gadgets but it will grow over time.

I leave this ticket open until the macro reaches some maturity.
