I'm on CentOS 5. I have ghostscript and pdflatex install. My configuration is: 

[tracmath]
cache_dir = /var/trac/psi/cache/tracmath
gs_cmd = /usr/bin/ghostscript
max_png = 500
use_dollars = disabled

I get this error when trying to render a latex sample:

Just install missing TeX package cm-super and it will work !

Thanks! I will give it a try. I wonder if there is a way to display a nicer error when the package is missing?
