Setting the sort order of gantt tasks

Description (last modified by Chris Nelson)

I am wondering if there is a way to set the sort order of gantt tasks. The reason I ask is that we have a lot of freestanding tickets assigned to a small set of users. We would like all the tickets assigned to a given user to be grouped together vertically. To do this, it would be great to have a "sort by" field or some other way to group tickets that are not subtasks of a common parent for example.

added a screencap to illustrate the request. it would be great to be able to have carl's tickets show one after the other, followed by manish's tickets, and then todd's tickets.

My browser won't display .tiff files.

However, there is an "order" option. It appears I haven't updated the wiki page here to describe it. Leave this ticket open to remind me. Adding order=owner to your Gantt macro invocation may solve your problem. The default order is wbs. It can be multiple fields, separated by pipe (e.g., order=owner|priority).

I updated the list of options on the plugin's page to include order.
