Option to hide billable checkbox

Since we have some internal projects, which are not billable at all, we'd like an option (for example a trac.ini option) to completely hide the "billable" checkbox.

Oddly enough, the permissions branch allows you to hide fields you dont want to see. But it will still be on all the reports and whatnot. Is that enough? Do I need to do more?

We also like to remove the billing option because we dont bill at the governement. I tried to remove the custom billing fields from trac.ini but the report fails without billing. After some SQL changes it worked, but im sure there are lot of other users who never bill.

Im making a patch for this one at the moment, because of other activities my estimation is to have it ready before 22-06-2009 ( i will not bill )

Is there a way to set billable to False (by default) until this enhancement is done?

Billable can be set to false by editing the default value in the ​custom fields section of the trac.ini

Given that the permissions branch of the plugin allows you to hide billable and you can easily set the default value, I am going to close this as wontfix
