#506 new enhancement

ICQ notification plugin

Reported by: BeeVee Owned by: anybody
Priority: normal Component: Request-a-Hack
Severity: blocker Keywords:
Cc: thijs Trac Release: 0.9

Description

I think it will be useful to implement ICQ (or Jabber/AIM/etc) notification. Perhaps using some third-party open-source utility like micq. Or maybe not, I don't know much about Python IM extensions.

At least, my managers frequently ask me to make ICQ notofication. %)

If you use ICQ client Miranda IM, or Miranda Plus
you can use this RSS reader plugin for Miranda:

gozerbot is being used by the trac team itself on freenode's #trac channel, it basically monitors the timeline rss feed and spits any changes into the chat. Works great, and I suggest setting that up instead.

Oh damn, I read IRC instead of ICQ, sorry for the noise.
