#5776 closed defect (fixed)

where to put doxyfile

Reported by: Sandeep Chauhan Owned by: Christian Boos
Priority: normal Component: DoxygenPlugin
Severity: normal Keywords:
Cc: Trac Release: 0.11

Description

We are using for Trac for multiple projects and doxygen plugin is installed as egg.

But doxygen is not generating any documentation. Possibly because I do not have a doxyfile config file defined for the project(s).

It's not clear to me where exactly to place the doxyfile file.

As far as I know, the DoxygenPlugin always just embedded already rendered HTML pages inside Trac. No automatic generation was inplemented. But I haven't check it for a long time so I may be wrong.

Resolution: fixed

As suggested, the documentation is not automatically generated (though I have been looking at scripting this using a post-commit hook to initiate). You use the Doxyfile to generate the HTML and then put the HTML to the directory where it is served. That is specified by the path variable in the [doxygen] section of trac.ini.
