#5727 closed defect (fixed)

Disabling Trac HTTP authentication doesn't work

Reported by: lizadri Owned by: hasienda
Priority: normal Component: AccountManagerPlugin
Severity: normal Keywords: needinfo HTTP authentication
Cc: Trac Release: 0.11

I followed the instructions to disable the HTTP authentication in the Apache configuration file, commenting the Require valid-user line, but it wasn't sufficient.
So I commented the entire Location section but it doesn't work.
The HTTP authentication is still enabled.

While I feel this is a local installation/configuration issue, where it's always more appropriate to raise the issue on the (Trac-hacks) mailing list, I'm still curious, if/how you did resolve this.

You do know, that you need to disable the Trac login module (in your trac.ini) to get the AccountManagerPlugin login form (see #4033), don't you?

This ticket was sent to the original plugin author instead of the maintainer, so this may partially explain the long time you had to wait for a response. Would you be so kind as to update this ticket now? Thanks for your patience.
