#7235 closed task (fixed)

Documentation implies the name of the macro is SmallSearch, not WikiSearch

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: Ryan J Ollos

Description

None of the examples provided with wikisearch work, because the the macroname is inconsistently referred to (wikisearc / smallsearch). Was smallsearch it's old name? Since this macro is a bare .py, it might help newbies to know they can copy the python script to their plugins directory & add

[componenents] wikisearchmacro.wikisearchmacro = enabled

to their trac.ini

Yes, the macro was renamed. I've updated the documentation on the main page, thanks for the catch.

I usually don't add simple install steps because it is redundant and can be found here: WikiStart#HowdoIinstallthesethings. Following the information from that page someone should be able to determine that they can add the .py file to their plugins directory and then enable the plugin from the admin panel. In fact, the plugin can be added directly from the admin panel using an upload-like dialog, if I remember correctly (though I've never used this feature).
