Using acct_mgr with tracd

Reported by: bretr@… Owned by: Matt Good

Description

This isn't a defect in acct_mgr, but rather a defect in my skill level, and I really appreciate your help here.

I'm getting acct_mgr set up with tracd, but I'm not sure how to set up the authentication. Before acct_mgr, I had been using a python script given on the Trac website to create passwords in a ~\digest.txt file, and using the --auth option with tracd. I don't have apache set up on the box I'm running Trac from, and so I'm not sure whether to use HtDigestStore or HtPasswdStore. I've tried running the HtDigestStore, because the previous method I used was digest, but pointing the password_file toward my old digest.txt file didn't work. How do I create a *.htdigest file if I don't have apache?

How does tracd fit into this?

The HtDigestStore is correct for use with the --auth option. Since this is really a support question please raise it on the t:MailingList if you need help getting this set up.
