#13073 closed enhancement (wontfix)

Allow users to disable completions?

Description

Sometimes it might make sense for a user to temporarily disable the completions for a given textarea, for example when for some reason many distracting false positives occur in an unusual text.

Some users might also prefer to disable the functionality entirely. Maybe we should add a preference panel and store the preference in the session?

From comment:4:ticket:13071:

I'm not sure if a user preference / option to disable the functionality (temporarily or permanently) would be required before integrating the plugin into Trac. (#13073) Maybe not if it works well enough?

That's what I'm thinking. If it works well then it's unlikely users would expect to disable it. Worst case, we could add that if enough requests are received.

Reopen if anyone actually wants this.
