Found the original repository ​here. The code needs to be copied into the trac-hacks repository, or the links on the project page should be changed to point to the link above.

The above link is dead, it appears that TracGitPlugin has been moved to GitPlugin on trac-hacks (the latter needing a maintainer) and Trac 1.0 has support for Git.
