#1550 new enhancement

Why select more than one user to generate tickets for?

Reported by: andy@… Owned by: edunne
Priority: normal Component: TestCaseManagementPlugin
Severity: normal Keywords:
Cc: Trac Release: 0.10

Description

In the standard installation Trac doesn't know it's users, isn't that right?

The result is, that I can't select any user, because there is no user shown in the select-box.

I think it would be better if there was an simple textfield, where I can manually enter the user's name I want the tickets to be generated for. If it's important to generate the tickets for more than one user, perhaps you could use a comma seperated list of user names?

By the way: Some documentation would be nice, how the tickets are assigned to multiple users.

hmmmm. good point. I'll have to think about the solution for the situation where the field in the trac.conf file "restrict_owner = true" hasn't been set.

As for how tickets are assigned to multiple owners that's actually impossible. Trac only currently allows one "owner" per ticket. So in fact multiple tickets are created, where each person assigned to a testing ticket owns that invdividual ticket.

I should clarify that in the documentation. thanks.
