On the admin side, everything seems to be ok, we can assign fields values based on groups and users and so on, but even if we add TICKET_HIDEVALS to the user's permission, he can still see all fields.

I am not sure what happened to the name when I uploaded the patch file again. Ignore the first file, it is wrong.

Just tried to use the patch for TRAC 0.11b1, but it didn't work.

After installing the plugin, I can't see the TICKET_HIDEVALS value under WebAdmin or using trac-admin.

Don't know if it's relevant, but eventhough I can't reinstall the plugin ( Plugin TracHideVals-1.1.1-py2.4.egg already installed ), it does not show up in the plugin list.

Am I doing something wrong?

I managed to install it by removing WebAdmin from the requirements list.

Just for those of us trying to figure this out. You do this by removing the line from requires.txt inside the egg (ie, you have to open the egg after it's compiled).

Now the plugin and permission is showing, but I can't find the interface for it. >_<

I've installed this by removing the requirement, but I don't know how to config the plugin now? is there a way to do it in the trac.ini perhaps?

comment:9 Changed 16 years ago by Iker

Patch doesn't work anymore. Trying it with Trac version 0.11.2.1. Already applied the patch and removed the dependency from the requires.txt file. If you enable logging you will see the following error: ERROR: Skipping "hidevals.admin = hidevals.admin": (can't import "No module named webadmin.web_ui")

I'd really like to have this plugin working with 0.11 but I don't have a clue of how many changes would be needed.

I've fixed it to work on Trac 0.11.2.1. As a bonus now it filters on the custom query web page as well.

comment:11 Changed 14 years ago by anonymous

Let's keep the ticket open until we can get the fix pushed to the repository (which I am happy to help with).
