#2505 closed enhancement (worksforme)

Teaser blogs

Description

We are using your blog system oftentimes. Some blogs are realy long articles and you miss the not so latest blogs easily. It will be fine if the plugin provides a teaser function showing only the first lines of a blog.

For listing in the blog or outside the blog? There is the [[BlogList]] macro that is intended for this - like including teasers and recent posts lists on front page of project and similar. Check your macro documentation and try it out. Here is an example of what I use on the front page of a project:

[[BlogList(recent=3, format=float, max_size=250, heading=Recent blog posts)]]

There is not good place to use it in the blog itself though, and I was considering making alternative format=titleonly support to just list the titles with links - that way the macro can also be used inside the info-text box in the blog sidebar as a permanent feature. That way it would be easy to list for instance to have a 'Recent posts' list with 5 latest (or whatever you pass to the macro) posts. It is by far the most flexible approach to just extend the macro if that is what is needed.

Please provide some more information on what you might need that is not covered by that macro.
