Accountmanager Htdigest Problem

Reported by: jan.walti@… Owned by: John Hampton
Priority: high Component: AccountManagerPlugin
Severity: critical Keywords: Account, Manager, Plugin, Htdigest
Cc: Trac Release: 0.10

Description

Hi there.

I have a problem with the trac Accountmanager Plugin. I store my Passwords in the trac.htdigest file. When i use the Web ui to create a new user and its password, everything seams to be going good.

But when i log out, and want to log in with the new user, its no accept my password.

Then when i go to the trac.htdigest "/trac_gva/conf/trac.htdigest" there is a new line wich looks like that: "asdf:trac:[some signs wo give no sense]". Other Problem, i cant change password, it allwas the old, when i change.

now my question is, what have i done wrong? I enabled al features in the trac.ini file, because im not shure, witch are important for me.

This is what i would like:Log in, go to the admin tab create a new user with password and log in with that user.

I hope you understand my problem and can help me.

Greets

Jan Walti

Can you provide the [account-manager] section of your trac.ini? Also, are you using form based auth? or apache? if you're using apache, please provide the relevant section of your apache config.

Resolution: worksforme
Status: assignedclosed

Closing due to lack of response. Additionally, if using mod_python, this may be related to a know issue when using the md5 module. If so, try FastCGI or tracd
