#3116 closed enhancement (worksforme)

NewHack registration page improvement proposal

Reported by: Emmanuel Blot Owned by: Ryan J Ollos
Priority: low Component: TracHacksPlugin
Severity: trivial Keywords:
Cc: Trac Release: 0.11

Description

Two items that might be improved:

  • tag names should use non-breaking spaces so that they are tied to their matching checkbox (see attached example)
  • the "example area" is mandatory, or the following error is thrown: "Error: No example provided" whereas the field description "One or more examples illustrating how to use your hack, if appropriate" makes you think that this field is optional ("if appropriate")

The suggested changes are no longer applicable with version 3.0.0dev of the NewHack form.

  • The tags no longer have a checkbox to the left. Instead, there is a text field and a tag cloud from which tags can be selected. Selecting from the tag cloud adds a tag to the text field.
  • The NewHack form no longer has an Example section.
