A useful option would be a way to exclude pages ie. 

[[TOC(Trac*, !TracFormatting, !TracMoos*)]]

(If pattern begins with ! character, the matched pages will be removed from results)

Also keen to see a NOT syntax by preceding any wild-card with an exclamation mark (!)

This would indeed be very useful. It would allow me to automate TOC creation by just excluding the pages I know I don't want.
