Hi osimons,
Thanks for the response,
We are using the blogs for some informal brain dumping and discussion on our projects. I thought it would be nice to be able to email comments. I know some blog services allow users to email in blogs.
It would actually be more useful for discussion forum so they can operate like trac google user group where you can post online or email.
You can close if you want.
Thanks again, abalter

TracTickets for help on using
tickets.
The difficult part is interpreting the email and making sense of what to do with the various contents. And you need a scheduler or other mechanism to poll emails, transform and push it into the database.
The plugin itself is actually built to support entry from anywhere, not just web/http. There are sensible APIs that allows you to create and update information outside a request context. This design was done to accomodate XML-RPC interface quite easily (on a todo for the future), and possible other mechanisms.
Even if I get around to doing this, incoming email with all its challenges is not something I will put any effort into personally - and it will never be directly supported in the plugin itself (although others may make an 'fullblog-email-companion' plugin one day...).
