Sorting by hours works incorrectly

Description

Look at: ​https://trac.acceleration.net/TestForTimingAndEstimation/query?status=assigned&status=closed&status=needs_publish&status=new&status=reopened&status=waiting_for_client&col=id&col=summary&col=status&col=owner&col=type&col=priority&col=milestone&col=totalhours&order=totalhours

The sorting is currently done literally by strings; should sort numerically.

This is actually a deficiency in trac:

​http://trac.edgewall.org/ticket/3080

As such I will close this ticket. I am looking into the possibility of submitting a patch to fix this.

Thanks Bobby. This problem seriously impacts our ability to be in control of the dev. schedule. Would be really nice to fix it.

You might try exporting to csv and sorting with excel / google spreadsheets in the mean time. Not great but an option

Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The owner will remain Russ Tyndall.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.

Add Comment

E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences.
