#7844 closed enhancement (worksforme)
Link Git committer/author to Trac users
Reported by: | Sigurd Hogsbro | Owned by: | Herbert Valerio Riedel |

Severity: | normal | Keywords: | |
Cc: | Trac Release: | 0.12 |
Description
GitPlugin currently returns the full name and email from the author/committer field, which is often much longer than the username setup within Trac.
Suggest making a lookup of author/committer email address against the Trac user database, and using the Trac username instead if found. If not there, show the current style author/committer.

Thank you very much, but the get_known_users() call doesn't seem to work in our install (using AccountManager plugin) - I just see the part of the email before '@'. Any ideas?

Oops, ignore that - I just needed to resync Trac against the Git repo and it all looks perfect!
