how to install the JS/HTML parts?

Reported by: Chris Curvey Owned by: Ryan J Ollos
Priority: high Component: KeywordSuggestPlugin
Severity: normal Keywords:
Cc: Trac Release: 0.11

Description

I have installed the package, but I can't quite figure out how to get the new javascript and CSS referenced from within the standard trac pages. (I have several Trac instances, so I have just installed the package into the local plugins directory).

I've updated my site.html to include references to the css and js files provided, but trying to get the files individually leads to this error from my trac server:

No handler matched request to /htdocs/autocomplete.css

Are you just trying to install the plugin correctly?

Yeah, I'm just trying to get the plugin installed. Was hoping someone could give me some instructions, 'cause I'm clearly not "getting it".

And maybe allso some suggestions on how to install the keyword plugin itself too, where is it supposed to show up? I installed the plugin but it only shows up in the admin page is a plugin that can be enabled or disabled but where does it show up, in the search panel of trac? Where is the documentation for this plugin?

The plugin was updated today from 0.3 to 0.4.1. The major changes took place is #4201.

Please try installing the latest version of the plugin (0.4.1). After that, all that should be necessary is to copy the default configuration from KeywordSuggestPlugin#Configuration. Then, we you start to type ta in the ticket Keywords field you should see a dropdown appear showing tag1, tag2, tag3. Let me know if you can get that far and we can work more from there.

(In [10937]) Refs #8348: (Version 0.4.2)

  • FIX: Plugin would be disabled if no keywords were defined in trac.ini, preventing it from getting keywords from the TagsPlugin only.
