bug in documentation of RestrictedAreaPlugin

Reported by: frolov@… Owned by: Christian Spurk
Priority: normal Component: RestrictedAreaPlugin
Severity: normal Keywords:
Cc: Trac Release: 0.10

Description

I set up plugin strongly as described here: http://trac-hacks.org/wiki/RestrictedAreaPlugin There is an error on that page: "restrictedarea.filter = enabled" is not work for trac.ini, "restrictedarea.* = enabled" needed.

<fk0> I have a problem with RestrictedAreaPlugin: I set up plugin, write

"restrictedarea.filter = enabled" to the trac.ini file... it seems plugin was loaded. but when I trying to add permission:

<fk0> trac-admin . permission fk0 RESTRICTED_AREA_ACCESS <fk0> this gives an error: <fk0> Command failed: RESTRICTED_AREA_ACCESS is not a valid action. <fk0> my version of trac is 0.10.3 <fk0> what can be wrong? <erikand> fk0: sounds like syntax error <fk0> "trac-admin . permission add fk0 RESTRICTED_AREA_ACCESS <aat> permissions are defined by trac plugins <aat> you can't just specify them at will <fk0> I don't know why, but when I write "restrictedarea.*=enabled" instead of

"restrictedarea.filter=enabled" in track.ini it works! problem solved.

<aat> presumably there are other components in the plugin
