Disabling Trac HTTP authentication doesn't work
Reported by: | Adriana | Owned by: | Steffen Hoffmann |
---|---|---|---|
Priority: | normal | Component: | AccountManagerPlugin |
Severity: | normal | Keywords: | needinfo HTTP authentication |
Cc: | Trac Release: | 0.11 |
Description
I followed the instructions to disable the HTTP authentication in the Apache configuration file, commenting the Require valid-user line, but it wasn't sufficient. So I commented the entire Location section but it doesn't work. The HTTP authentication is still enabled.

Considering more than half a year without any feedback I consider this issue as resolved by now. Better tell us next time, especially when recommendations given here helped you to go on, please.
Note: See
TracTickets for help on using
tickets.
While I feel this is a local installation/configuration issue, where it's always more appropriate to raise the issue on the (Trac-hacks) mailing list, I'm still curious, if/how you did resolve this.
You do know, that you need to disable the Trac login module (in your trac.ini) to get the AccountManagerPlugin login form (see #4033), don't you?
This ticket was sent to the original plugin author instead of the maintainer, so this may partially explain the long time you had to wait for a response. Would you be so kind as to update this ticket now? Thanks for your patience.
