TracAutoCompletePlugin is designed to be used in enterprise environment, where there may be hundreds or thousands users who are potential notification recipients. Trac administrator should maintain a full list of users and their full name, instead of using trac's built-in user list.

And this plugin provide a convenient way to edit cc field with a popup dialog, where you can input or edit cc recipients easily when there are lots of recipients.

I really like this plugin. It's very helpful. I have a dozen of Trac projects. Each one only has several members but everyone wants to access the entire department with a few hundreds of people. This becomes very handy. Many thanks for offering this.

I'm the current maintainer for the AutocompleteUsersPlugin and have recently been doing some work on the plugin. After fixing some bugs and dealing with minor enhancement requests I plan to migrate it from the deprecated jQuery Autocomplete plugin to jQuery UI 1.8, which has autocomplete support. It seems like there is the possibility of supporting both modes with a single plugin, so if you are interested in collaborating on this, feel free to ping me.
