#7258 closed enhancement (wontfix)

Link to anchor on wiki page

Reported by: anonymous Owned by: Trap
Priority: normal Component: BackLinksMacro
Severity: normal Keywords: wiki BackLinks highlighting
Cc: Trac Release: 0.11

Description

The current BackLinks? plugin doesn't refer exactly to the wiki line, so if a user hits a link, they must scroll through searching for the link. Could there possibly be an enhanced version made of this which would either highlight the link or go stright to the appropriate heading?

Thank you!

Component: Request-a-HackBackLinksMacro
Owner: changed from anybody to Trap
Summary: Wiki page color renderingLink to anchor on wiki page

It makes more sense to have this as a feature request for the BackLinksMacro.

I'm not sure what you mean by "highlight the link", but it should be possible to jump to an anchor on a wiki page.

Resolution: wontfix
Status: newclosed

Plugin will be rewritten to use TracBackLinkPlugin. The feature could be requested for that plugin, but I suspect it's not practical until the wiki engine is improved. See also #9505.
