Description
clearsilver seems to be outdated and hard to install software. It makes it difficult to get the GoogleCalendar plugin to work in a modern trac installation.

I agree that this is a valid point and it was already on my mind. Unfortunately, I don't have the time now and in the near future to do that. However, I would happily accept a patch! Sorry I don't have better news.

due to the clearsilver dependency, this plugin is not compatible with 0.12, see also #9686

Yeah, I think that's fine given there is no development in years and it won't work with Trac 1.0. If anyone wants to do further work, they can chime in and we can reverse the deprecated status.
On Ubuntu you can install the package with
sudo apt-get install python-clearsilver
, but yes, its use is deprecated in Trac 0.11 and later.
